Although there are many benefits from juicing its important to note that it is not a substitute for food , vegetable juice contains very little protein  and no fat meaning it really should be used as a addition to regular meals and not in place of them. a good idea is to start of by juicing vegetables that you enjoy in their un juiced form , Every one is different and what works well for some people may not necessarily work for you.

Organic and pesticide free

It is wise to choose organic whenever possible. However, some vegetables are worse than others. Below are the vegetables that are the most pesticide loaded ones according to the Environmental Working Group.

So it would be wise to only purchase these vegetables if they are organically grown. The worst ones are listed first.

Drink it right away or store it carefully

We would advise you to always drink your juice fresh, but if you want to store it for later use here are a few essential tips to keep it fresher for longer

  • Put your juice into a glass jar with a air tight cap and fill to the very top. There should be as little air left in the bottle as possible
  • Purchase a food vacuum , these are great little devices and work by attaching to the top of your glass bottle
  • Refrigerate immediately
